Overview
SRSR is a training platform that allows Parents and Athletes to easily view,access and pay for running programs offered by the SRSR community.
Users get a personalised overview of their athletic journey, including upcoming and completed sessions, attendance status, remaining sessions and payment records all in one convenient place.
With simple navigation and secure payment, SRSR empowers Parents and athletes to stay on track with their fitness goals while eliminating the need for manual bookings, spreadsheets or paperwork.
Thus, SRSR (Start Running Stay Running) simplifies and strengthens the connection between parents and organized training programs anytime, anywhere.
Key Features
- Parents and Athletes can select the program they need like sprint Training, Distance Running, or Custom Coaching and schedule their sessions accordingly.
- They can input essential details such as injury history, fitness level and performance goals. And athletes can also complete the mandatory APSS form directly within app.
- All the programs will be displayed under My Sessions with three statuses: Upcoming, Completed, and Cancelled. Under Upcoming, users will have the option to cancel their enrollment.
- Users can request to cancel their Program. and If a user misses a paid session expect 5 KM & Personalised program, the system will credit that session for later use.
- In personalised program the admin will be able to modify session days based on the user’s availability.
- Parents can add max 3 child & manage child profiles, assign different training programs per child, and monitor progress and payments in a single view.
- Athletes and parents mark attendance by scanning QR code at the beginning and end of each session, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance .
- All the program will be displayed under the Program history into two statuses: Completed, and Cancelled.
- The system will support secure and seamless payments through Stripe, allowing users to complete session bookings using either card or bank payment options.
Challenges
- Ensuring the system accurately links subscription plans to the number of children added dousing parents setup while reliably storing and maintaining user data even after logout or inactivity.
- Managing multiple Athlete Programs with different session types (daily, weekly, recurring).
- Handling Child Programs based on school terms and adjusting when parents enroll before or after term dates.
- Tracking attendance and payments for each child across sessions.
- Managing missed sessions and updating attendance records accurately.
Solution
- Use stripe Api to dynamically calculate and manage subscription based on the number of children added trigger the Api call after parent profile setup, store the subscription status and start date in the backend and ensure data is synced even if the user logs out or becomes inactive.
- Predefine session slots when a child registers to simplify scheduling and tracking.
- Apply pro-rata logic for mid-term enrollments so children start from the next eligible session.
- Use QR code–based attendance to automate tracking for admins and parents.
- Provide automatic reserve sessions for missed session without additional payment to maintain flexibility.
